annoying triangles! Empty annoying triangles!

why are these triangle bits of the ceiling showing on the part of the ground that is raised? i need that ground to be raised and i need to be able to see the ceiling! i can only see those triangles when i have the option to be able to see the ceiling tiles ticked?
