Hey, anybody knows how i can record my sims 2 videos in full screen? Mine always have these ugly black sides....
Or must i do it in sony vegas anyhow or somethin?

Change properties in Sony Vegas, so the black bars will go away 
Use 480 x 740
Or if its because the game filming, change the film settings into the biggest one

Or if you just want to film in HD quality so that you don't have to do nothing in vegas go to Documents/Sims2/Config/Video Capture *open with notepad*/ then go to high and change it to 1280x720 *you have to change this while your in game because it resets everytime you close the game*/ and now when you film your clips will be terrific quality!!!!

woo cool, but i guess sims3lolifreaks methode will be fine, cuz i don't want files huge as my download file X'DDDDDDDDDDDD Anyway, if i anytime need MEGA hd i will use ur technique C:

i changed it now to 1280 x 720
isn't that the right size for hd screen and youtube ? C: Or will there be a black line at the ground :O?

Three different way.
1. Like tad says make the recording settings to 1280 x 720
2. You can go to Sony Vegas and right click the video and go to "Properties"
And uncheck Maintain aspect ratio and press "Ok" It will stretch the video to full screen.
3. You can click Event Pan/crop (Its the little white box on the right of the video) and change the Preset to 16:9 Widescreen TV aspect ratio.

Ok i tried ALL and i always have small black bars >.<
Could it be that it doesn't work cuz i recorded it on a older computer with almost quadratic screen? In sims under graphic settings i can just choose 800x600 or 1024x768 screen size :OOOOOO

oh. I never was good in maths.
anyway, i can'Ät record that big because my old pc screen doesn't allow it. On the laptop everything works fine. But i just have the base game on the laptop cuz i don't want to make it slow... and full :O

your pc screen dementions have nothing to do with how big u wanna film , if you have a 640x360 window , you can still film in 1280x720

but i tried everything and it doesn't work. I have a very old windows 2000 which i only use for sims. my laptop with windows 7 works fine. It can record in hd.

did you change the videocapture file located in program files/ ea games / YOUR NEWEST EP / TSDATA / RES / USERDATA / config / videocapture.txt

Actually Rowan...I am afraid your wrong. On my old computer I was only allowed to film as high as my screen size was.

right, even in sims i can't choose screen sizes which don't fit into the normal screen size...
